We were beyond please with our rental. It was a perfect location making it easy to do activities in Livingston, Bozeman and Yellowstone park. The house is beautiful, it looks like it was remodeled recently and is very clean. The floors are heated which is so nice when it is chilly out 🙂 The beds were so comfortable and the area is very quiet. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay here again.
A real treat! by A Guest from PA 09/14/2016
This cabin was clean and comfortable. It has all the basics and beats the heck out of a hotel. Sitting on the porch in the morning, we listened to coyotes yelping over the hill, elk bugling and trains chugging along the tracks. We were house hunting in the Bozeman/Livingston area and it was very convenient for us. Having satellite and wifi were a real plus! The views were quite nice. Peg was a real pleasure with booking, payment and any questions we had. We enjoyed our stay and will be back if ever in the area again!
Beautiful view, comfy beds! by T.M. 08/25/2016
I stayed 4 nights with my children. We are working on moving to MT and and a little relaxation after we dropped off our load of belongings. The beds were absolutely wonderful after 2- 12 hour drives. I travel a lot and I can tell you a lot of hosts do not take the pride to make sure their beds are that nice. I have had back surgery and I always anticipate the bed being bad. This bed was awesome!!!! The views were beautiful. The furnishings were clean and comfortable for our group of 5. The only item missing from the from the kitchen was a colander because we had decided to make spaghetti and had no way to make strain the pasta. But that in NO way took away from our wonderful experience. Do not worry about that train. I didn't hear it at night. I sleep very lightly as a mother of 5 children and as a person that works nights i wake easily. I never woke up because of the train noise. As a matter of fact, my 4 year old son, LOVED seeing the train when it would come across the horizon. It was a nice. I will be making several trips over the next few months hopefully the cabin will be available because it was exactly what I needed.
We enjoyed our six night stay. by Ethel 08/16/2016
We really enjoyed our stay. In fact, we would stay again if we were in the area. We would recommend this cabin for families. There are train tracks about a tenth of a mile away that Grandpa became hooked on. One day, the train missed a passing and he was concerned. This location was excellent for the day trips on our schedule. We could not believe how quickly the time flew.
Great View! by Lisa M 07/29/2016
Loved the cabin! Rustic but comfortable. We loved the view from the front porch! We drove to Yellowstone & it was a 1 hour drive. We saw deer & bunnies in the mornings around the property. I would enjoy staying there again!
Quiet Getaway by K.S 07/24/2016
The cabin was the perfect size and ideal location for our trip to Montana. Easy access to town and groceries while still feeling away from it all. The cabin was clean upon arrival and perfectly furnished. The kitchen was perfectly stocked for the meals we had planned though we were disappointed to not find a BluRay player (as advertised) but quickly decided that board games in the evening would do just as well. The location was quiet except for the occasional passing of a train. Loved seeing the variety of moths which populate on the exterior walls and the occasional sighting of a cottontail rabbit. We appreciated that there were ceiling fans in both bedrooms to keep us cool through the night. Overall, a wonderful home-away-from-home for our trip.
Feels Like Home by Marti D. 07/20/2016
So much better than a motel. Plenty of room to relax. Wifi is limited but this is a vacation so leave the electronics at home. There is a flat screen TV with direct TV if you need. The cabin clean enough for me and I am pretty fussy. The views are indeed beautiful however there are like 4 other homes close by. Sitting on the front porch with coffee or a glass of wine was very relaxing. The king bed was very comfortable, plush, and better quality sheets than a motel would ever have. I can't rate the other bedroom as there was just the two of us. There is a mini library of books and games for all ages available. There is no air conditioning but ceiling fans and a box fan are available. We closed all the windows, drapes, shade, and blinds during the day and opened the windows at night. I also brought my own eclipse shades and hung over the windows in living room as only a curtain there and no blinds. It was like 90 degrees when we were there but comfortable enough in the cabin. there is a train track nearby as well and about 1 to 2 trains go by at night so with windows open you hear it. We however live in a rural area so are not used to a lot of outside noises. We slept well over all. There is a gas grill available and washer and dryer. If I had to give a negative it would be the frying pans. Food sticks so a lot of scrubbing is needed. Otherwise there are plenty of dishes for use. Again I highly recommend this cabin. Come home, relax, save cash by making your own food, and room to spread out. Thank you Jane and Peg.
We really enjoyed our four days in the cabin, which has everything you need for an extended stay or a short time. The scenery was excellent and the quite, cool mornings drinking coffee on the front porch were great. We watched eight mule deer bucks and one doe in the alfalfa field across the street through the telescope that is in the cabin. I highly recommend this place if you like being away from the traffic.
Perfect Location by Jen K. 07/01/2016
This house was in a quiet area (don't mind the train) and easily accessible. The beds, room size, bathroom and house were a great fit for our family of five. We would recommend this house to anyone in any season weither going to Livingston, Bozeman, Yellowstone Park or any of the skiing in the area. We will look for its availability for our next trip this way!
Relaxing Cabin by Freeman 07/12/2015
The view from the house is spectacular as it is situated in a pocket on the side of ridge. The place is cozy and comfortable with radiant heat in the floors and the decor is perfect for the cabin atmosphere. It is in a very quiet spot. We saw some wildlife and used the spotting scope to look over the opposite hillside. It is close enough to town to be handy for going to dinner and such activities, but is far enough out to feel secluded and remote. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Adventure Seekers, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Response
